We learned from spy photos that Ford will be offering a special edition, and now it's official, the Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport have been given both the Heritage and the Heritage Limited editions, in honor of the original Ford Bronco that debuted in 1966. Special Edition models will be available for the entire 2023 Bronco offering; The two-door and four-door Bronco, and the smaller version, the Bronco Sport. The automaker will produce just 1,966 units of each model, recalling the year the original Bronco debuted.

Available in two- and four-door, the Bronco Heritage Edition is available in two-tone paint and an Oxford White finish, which is featured on the grille and 17-inch vintage-style wheels. A design feature that evokes the original style is the square and raised fenders of the same size as the Sasquatch. Standard equipment includes a steel, thermo-coated front bumper with integrated tow rings and fog lights. The Bronco Heritage Limited gets 17-inch wheels in gloss black, with hubcaps covering half of the alloy wheel.
The Heritage Edition Bronco is available in five body colors, and is powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder in-line petrol engine, with turbocharging, connected to a seven-speed manual gearbox or a ten-speed automatic gearbox. If the customer orders the Limited Heritage Edition, he will get a 2.7-liter V6 engine mated to a ten-speed gearbox, plus features not available on the Heritage Edition, including additional Bronco badging and different seat upholstery.
Although the Bronco Sport wasn't originally available when the Bronco debuted in 1966, Ford announced that the younger brother would also be sold with retro-inspired styling tweaks. The Bronco Sport Heritage Edition is based on the Big Bend trim, just like the Heritage Bronco, and gets the same modifications, such as the grille and other touches in white, and a different color roof to mimic the original Bronco design.

The Bronco Sport is standard with a turbocharged 1.5-liter in-line three-cylinder engine, but there are other Legacy upgrades, including revised front and rear suspension struts and springs, and HOSS Off-road Suspension Stability Increases the margin of ground clearance. Heritage Limited models get larger 29-inch all-terrain tires, leather-trimmed seats and white door linings. The most expensive, most equipped and most powerful segment gets a two-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder in-line engine.
Ford Bronco Sport Heritage Edition starts at $34,245, Limited Bronco Sport Heritage Edition starts at $44,655 Ford is now open for reservations. In contrast, the older sibling Bronco Heritage Edition starts at $44,305, and the Limited Heritage Bronco Edition starts at $66,895, and goes on sale later this year.
