Apple Maps will also allow businesses to add buttons at the top of their listings, so people can order or make reservations. The extra card statistics is also utilized in Siri and different Apple software.
For businesses that maintain Apple Maps sites, Apple's announcement includes a new web app called Business Connect that will allow
businesses to claim their location, edit details such as location, etc. For example, whether they accept credit cards, update photos and logos, and offer discounts and special
offers.
Large companies often use software such as Next or Reputation to manage digital card entries, and these will be integrated into Apple's new system. Apple is also introducing a new dashboard for business owners that tracks metrics of how customers land on their Apple Maps page and what they interact with, similar to dashboards that measure search engine optimization. Features are free for businesses, and Apple doesn't sell ad units on maps.
