On Friday, Telegram announced the launch of its first update in 2023 with 10 major features, such as: selfie maker, emoji classification, and full conversation translation.

And the instant messaging services company said that it is now possible to convert any animated sticker or emoji into a profile picture for accounts, groups, or channels. All users can use animated or custom emojis for these photos, even if they don't have a premium Telegram subscription.

Premium users can now translate entire conversations, groups and channels in real time by clicking the Translate button in the top bar. Administrators can now choose what group members are allowed to send from 9 types of media, such as photos, audio or video messages. They can also disable texting, to make the group media-only.

As usual, in the new update Telegram also announced 10 new custom emoticon packs. Any of these packs can be browsed and added, directly from the new 'Popular' section at the top of the emoji panel.

The latest version of the Telegram application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store for Android system users, and from the App Store for iOS system users, as well as for other devices from the service website.
