And the instant messaging services company said that it is now possible to convert any animated sticker or emoji into a profile picture for accounts, groups, or channels. All users can use animated or custom emojis for these photos, even if they don't have a premium Telegram subscription.

You can set or suggest profile pictures for other contacts by editing the contact information on Telegram.

Premium users can now translate entire conversations, groups and channels in real time by clicking the Translate button in the top bar. The options menu allows hiding the bar, controlling the languages to be translated, and all users can translate an individual message by selecting it and clicking on “Translate.”

The amount of data that Telegram has consumed can be known with detailed circular graphs of Wi-Fi and mobile data, and automatic download settings can be adjusted to suit the user's data package.

Telegram said that it is now possible to determine when media is automatically saved in the photo gallery, based on the size, type, and conversation from which it was received. This list now also supports exceptions, to specify which save only to save.

Administrators can now choose what group members are allowed to send from 9 types of media, such as photos, audio or video messages. They can also disable texting, to make the group media-only.

Telegram also announced an annual Premium subscription that allows users to save up to 40 percent of their Telegram Premium subscription value by paying in advance for a year of exclusive benefits.

Bot developers can now add special buttons that help users select groups, channels, or people who meet certain criteria in advance. For example, this feature can be used to quickly add bots to any group where the user is a moderator, or where topics are turned on.

Telegram said that users who signed out could quickly sign back in again with an Apple or Google account without entering an activation code sent by text message (SMS). Password 2-Step Verification will still be required if it is enabled.

As usual, in the new update Telegram also announced 10 new custom emoticon packs. Any of these packs can be browsed and added, directly from the new 'Popular' section at the top of the emoji panel.

The latest version of the Telegram application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store for Android system users, and from the App Store for iOS system users, as well as for other devices from the service website.
